My boyfriend tried to use me.

My boyfriend of 1 year picked me up from work today.

We have already dated for two years before, but I broke up with him at that time because he was saying mean things to me to get me jealous of him with his female friends, saying he was annoyed at how I wasn't jealous at all. That was a long time ago, and since then he has apologised and we agreed he has matured since then.

Well today, after work, instead of driving me to my house, he took me to the town center. I asked him where he was taking me, but he just stayed quiet. Then, he passed right in front of our favorit sushi place.

While passing he said " oh, good, it's open!" And I got excited and asked if he was taking me there and he said yes. I live close by, so I pleaded that he could take me to my house so I could at least take off my uniform.

After a bit of back and forth, he agreed to take me. On our way back, he asked If I was willing to pay for both of our meals or just my own. I said I could pay for my own and he said okay. I was still happy, since I love this place.

I told him I was happy for him taking me out on a date and he just nodded. I thought that was weird but I didnt say anything. Then, upon arriving at my house, while I was changing, he said he wouldn't be able to pay his side and that I would have to pay everything AND that he was calling a friend of his to come along.

I said I couldn't pay that much and then he said "well, then i'll just watch you eat."

I told him I wouldn't like that and asked why didn't he tell me from the start. He said he was hoping that I would pay for him and that it was all a joke. I felt like a clown.

I told him to leave and he did. I feel bad because he tried to use my will against me- so he could get an expensive dinner, and even called it a prank. And said that he was planning on going somewhere with his friend, but his friend just didnt respond to him in time.

I'm feel pretty fed up. I'd just like to have a second opinion if i'm overreacting or not.
