Appropriate dress

I’m attending 2 Indian weddings this summer. My husband is helping me shop, but he isn’t very familiar with Indian wear for women.

Two specific questions 1) Is the pink lehenga choli too much for a wedding guest? I absolutely love it, but don’t want to be overdressed. The cancan will be removed to make it less full and easier to travel with.

2) Is the purple outfit appropriate for a sangeet with an Indo-Western dress code? The bottom is palazzo pants. I’m also not sure if this is a good color for me

I realize the fit isn’t perfect - both outfits will be taken in a little and shortened.
