Abdominal fibroid removal

Hi ladies!

My apologies you are in this sub with me!

Have any of you had fibroids so large that they had to be surgically removed through the abdomen like a c-section?

I have a VERY large one (like 12cm) that my doctor is recommending I get removed before proceeding to try to get pregnant.

How was the recovery and pain level for the ladies who have had it done?

I've had fibroids removed twice before which were not painful at all because they were removed via my cervix.
