a quick retrospective
You know, I wasn't here when the subreddit was created. But I was one of the first 100. I was there when the discord group was made. I was the first moderator for the discord too. I remember fighting for my life in the comments on r/gold because absolutely no one believed in the goldback, and most didn't even hear of them at the time. I remember when there were probably a dozen videos on goldbacks on YouTube to speak of. I remember a goldback being less than $3.50. I used to make posts to celebrate every 100 new members because we were fighting for every single inch of growth. It took quite a while to grow another 100.
I mention all this because it really makes me smile to see this community grow into what it has always deserved to be. No, not everyone agrees with us that the goldback is world-changing. But most are willing to have a civil discussion about it now. And open discussions win us support because the facts are on our side.
The subreddit is growing so quickly now. The largest and in my opinion most significant series just released yesterday. I can't wait to see where this all takes us and I'm glad to be part of this awesome community with you all
