The Substance: Impressions

I just saw this movie tonight and I have to say that I loved it. Some quick impressions:

1) It’s not for the weak of stomach but If you can handle it you will have a great ride.

2) In terms of body horror it has a bit more gore than other Cronenberg films for example.

3) the story is fantastic and it won’t let up until the end. comparing it to Cronenberg films it’s also more straightforward.

4) last but the most important thing to me: Demi Moore won the globe and is nominated for and Oscar for her performance. It’s rare for horror movies to receive this kind of recognition from critics so support this film! 🙌
