This game on a grander scale would be amazing.

First of all, just wanna say this game is amazing already. But imagine if you could build a castle, have a barracks with a few guards/soldiers that you could use to defend your town against bandit attacks. Maybe if you get far enough in the game you can get a steward to do the more micromanagy stuff. Outfit your guards with whatever weapons and armor you want. I know this would fundamentally change a few things but it would add alot of creativity and give you a reason to play the game longer.
