This show helped me find love again

Like a lot of people, I found out about this show recently. Immediately I became obsessed with this show and it’s stories.

I also have a pretty big obsession with creating playlists on Spotify. A lot of them usually follow an oftentimes unhinged meme theme and a genre or an entire soundtrack to a show, or a soundtrack inspired by a book I’m reading. In this case, select songs from Mr. Inbetween and other songs I like that I think would fit “a day in the life of an aging hitman”. My friend would often joke about how nobody will listen to my yee yee ass playlists.

I met a girl through a class message board because I was being goofy and sharing some of my playlists. She dm’d me and told me she loved my music taste. Especially my “hitman” playlist inspired by Mr. Inbetween. That started off a chain of events in which we send each other cute messages and wanting to be together. Since then she has stalked my Spotify of ALL my playlists.

I never thought I’d be able to love someone again after a great heartbreak at a really bad point in my life, which lead to my obsessive behavior with media. This girl loves me for who I am, and not what I do for her or what I provide.

I’m really happy this show is a part of my life and basically introduced me to a good soul by just her own pure curiosity and confidence just to tell me she likes my stuff. I allowed myself to try again and I’m trying to do things right.

I’m gonna watch this show again one of these days with her and see if she recognizes some of the songs from my playlist. Great show, truly unforgettable.
