Gratitude
I’ve posted a few of these in the past…I definitely wear all of them as I know most of y’all do. Was cleaning my room today and had a moment of gratitude thinking back about the Jordans and Nikes I sold to support a drug and alcohol addiction. Two years clean - financially independent and stable. Mentally mature enough to put my money into shoes that will last (NB) and proud enough to wear them…and not worry about reselling them.
This is to say I don’t still also have many other brands of shoes, but the NB game blew up for me this last year along with a lot of personal growth - so it feels a little special.
There’s more to life than shoes and fashion but for some of us I think being able to afford a hobby like collecting shoes and sharing that love with total strangers is a special privilege.
