Yall what makes having weak fls also appealing for grabbing a audience?

Recently I was just thinking abt cry or better yet beg and problematic prince. Both of them have weak fls, I would count. And of course all people are just trashing the mls. But what I noticed is that these weak fls also play vital roles into the story and people don't trash them much. Idk what you call this effect. We have all heard about strong fls but some of them are oblivious or sometimes stupid which makes it more irritating than ever. What is the contradiction here? I personally hate these weak fls but its like their vulnerableness from the dominant partner that makes me think even lesser of them and of course the story goes.
