Moving to Vyvanse

February 2024 I weight 300lb Today i am 148lbs

I was on tirzepatide for 9 months and have been on phen now for 3. My PCP only can do 3 months of phen. I am going to talk to my dr today about medication options for me at this point. (The dr that perscribed the phen wants me to talk to the other dr there about further options now)

I've been morbidly obese my entire life that I remember (since school age) I finally got a grip on it now, but eating is definitely my hard point. I binge, I'll restrict and then binge. The phen has 90% helped with it. From what I've read vyvanse will be the closest thing to the phen so I can continue to have control over my eating.

My bmi is 25 now, I'm only 3lb away from my weight being classified as 'normal'. So although more weight loss would be nice, that's not why I want to continue onto the vyvanse. I simple want to have control and maintain the weightloss.

What do you think are the chances of my PCP prescribing it to me? I don't have any official diagnosis of BED. My chart is full of 'morbid obese' 'dietary surveillance' etc. But no official binge eating disorder. Idk, I'm just nervous lol I go in 2 hours to talk to him!
