Need Motivation
TL;DR I am right on the edge of committing to quitting and I need a little push to get me over it (and keep me there). Give me your best!
I smoked for 14 years and then had open heart surgery at 30 (unrelated to smoking, born with a faulty ticker). I used vaping to quit smoking which worked but I'm arguably more addicted to vaping than I was with smoking.
My lizard brain is very powerful and so long-term health and financial concerns don't really work, but advice and accountability from strangers (who shouldn't have trouble giving me harsh truths) could.
I'd rather quit cold turkey because NRT doesn't work (I also can't use patches) and easing off doesn't work for me either. No nic vapes also don't work.
I guess what I'm asking for is motivation, encouragement and a few stories from those who found it difficult. I'd love to use this post whenever I'm seriously craving to keep me on track.
Thanks, guys.
