It really does get better.
If you're currently trying to quit or thinking about it, I want to pop in and give some encouragement.
I know the withdrawals suck. You may feel helpless and anxious with a dose of irritability, you think you can't do this and what's the point. But let me (and many others on this sub) tell you that YOU CAN DO IT. The symptoms are temporary and the freedom you're working towards is worth it! Your brain is tricking you, it's a mental game that you can win!
Quitting means you can think and live freely without worrying about that nicotine pacifier in your pocket. You'll have more money in your pocket, better health, and maybe improved relationships/friendships.
As I've scrolled along and read posts about the early stages of quitting I feel a sense of relief that I'm past that part (5 weeks clean) and don't have to go through it again. So those of you who are currently in the trenches, we're here for you and you have our support.
Don't be afraid to reach out for help. You've got this. :)
