Xbox Series S and X controller Frustrations

Hi everyone, I’m MateosGgG and I am a decently ranked Kazuya (roughly top 15 on Xbox, currently at Tekken God with my highest being TGS.) I have been having struggles with the Xbox controller for Kazuya. While people often say the Xbox controllers are the best for Mishimas, I have had my fair share of issues with them being worn down.

Every time I buy a new controller, the consistency of my perfect electrics, and my ability to hit frame perfect electrics from DF2 seems fairly consistent (maybe 1 in every 5 attempts.) However, after a while the dpad becomes worn down, and I am not able to input f * df or even f,d,df within one frame of accuracy consistently. From starting tekken competitively in February of 2023, this is probably my 5th controller I go through because of this issue.

It also affects my wavedash, by inputting the down right after the forward so when I go at a fast rate, my wave dash is stopped prematurely and I don’t get any distance, leading me to be out spaced or more easily whiff punished. I’d like to see if others have had this experience, because I am now considering at this point a Hori Battle Commander going forward.

Including a screenshot at my attempts to input perfect f,df 2 electrics as well, thank you.
