Can I belly dance as a Christian?

So according to google, it has been used as a religious rituals to pagan gods before, a ritual to celebrate a woman's fertility, distracting the evil eye, spiritual purposes, and comnection to the universe in ancient civilizations and that it originated in Egypt. However, belly dancing has now been generic and each country adopted its own form, mostly for entertainment. I'd like to do that aswell for entertainment and because I wanna dance my belly. And its not for anything that is connected to being a hoe. I'm not doing it for the other reasons listed above. I merely just want to do this dance. I'm bothered especially when it came from egypt.
