I think people misunderstand what "Gods plan" means

So alot of Christians seem to think that when something bad happens, God did it to test them or something. Like when a child dies, some day "everything happens for a reason" or "God needed an angel". Or " My baby living wasn't part of God's plan"

Or when some bad happens to a Christian, people say "God is testing me" or "God's put me in his plan for this to happen.

Now I might be wrong, but It makes is sound like God causes bad things to happen, which I think is wrong. The Bible never says the God created bad events in order to make people stronger. He lets them happen yes, but He doesn't cause them., and that's what alot of Christians seem to imply with statements like these.

It makes it sound like everything in our life was controlled specifically by God. And I just dont agree.

This also can kinda lead into the prosperity gospel. The idea that if your pray for something, it can happen. When someone's becomes paralyzed and in accident for example, I always see Christians saying "one day God will bring your legs back". Like it's some sort of fact.

Now I know these people mean well, but I don't think that's really the right thing to say in times like this.

It also hurts aithests because in takes them away from the faith. Because it confuses them and makes it sound like God causes thier suffering.
