My experience being at “The Apprentice: You’re Fired!” for Episode 4
I booked the free tickets on lostintv.com. Last week on Monday (Feb 10th) there were 2 recordings of You’re Fired - in the afternoon was Carlo’s episode and mine was in the evening (Nadia’s episode). Quick tip; do try to reach the studios as soon as you can even if you have to wait around because they do assign everyone numbers. But also don’t worry if you’re like me and are usually late because they do fill in the rows starting from the back (at the same time, they do purposely overbook so being late means it’s possible you can’t get in at all)
Tom is way funnier in person than on screen since his jokes are more scripted and a lot are prepared in advance. He’s asked to build a rapport with us the audience and he does a great job. I also got to sit next to Tre Lowe who was there and he’s a very down-to-earth nice guy.
So after we sat down we were shown Episode 4, and because of the opening we saw Carlo getting fired in the previous episode. Then the rest of the episode played and it was fun watching it in an audience. When Nadia got fired, we all clapped and cheered while being surprised at how quick the firing was (was a bit awkward for me since I was sitting very close to Nadia’s family 😅). I asked Tre if that gave him any flashbacks to last year and he said “Nahat least I was in the final 3” lol. The promo for next weeks episode did shock us that someone is going to leave (and at this point we all of course know who that’s going to be).
The guest panelist’s were great too. Radzi made a joke about Keir by saying “That’s the second time a Keir has let us down” and only me and 4 other people in the room clapped and laughed which was awkward but I still think was funny. There were a lot of ‘pickups’ to do, as in when some interviews and questions need to have smaller answers so the director instructs the presenter to re-record them. I have to say as well that Nadia is completely different in real life and feels a lot more warm and bubbly than compared to her on-screen persona.
Overall it was a fun experience and I’m looking forward to going again.
Edit: forgot to mention that there’s no NDA that you have to fill out. You literally just book the tickets you want and they’ll email you the tickets (if they are available). They always overbook for TV recordings in case some people don’t turn up and this is to make sure the studio looks full on TV
