How to find new accounts

I am working on monthly datasets that have account numbers, and am trying to find accounts that were newly opened each month. Is there a formula or something simple I am missing that would look up and find accounts in lets say February, compare them to the accounts in January, and return the accounts that were not in January’s data. I can provide more detail if needed, I’m just not sure where to start.
