Help to find the perfect knot

I am looking for knot that can achieve the following:

Imagine a dog is attached to the standing end of the rope and I want to tie the rope around an object like a pole. What knot can I use that is: A) quick release B) (This is the part I cannot find anywhere online) the standing end must remain the same length before and after tying the knot around the pole.

I have found many knots to serve the purpose but almost all of them requires the standing end to move further away to tighten the knot.

This will mean my dog can get further away than I want. A foot’s movement can be undesirable in a vet practice scenario, for example.
