last.fm needs better, more accurate, and more in-depth ways of finding users with similar tastes.

Inspired by all the posts today (here's my profile if you'd like to check our compatibilities)

I wish that you could find users with the most common artists in your top 10, 25, 50, 100. I wish that genres would be utilized when finding neighbors. I wish that top genres would be a thing you could see on profiles and compare with other users.

For instance, I listen to a lot of diy/midwest emo AND I listen to a lot of k-pop. Some of my favorites for each genre are Glocca Morra/Prince Daddy & The Hyena and SHINee/NCT 127. It would be amazing to find someone who listens to, say, both Origami Angel (emo) and Stray Kids (k-pop). I like both of these artists a lot, they're both in my top 100, and I would love to be able to potentially make friends with someone like that. But lastfm would prioritize someone who just listens to SHINee/NCT 127 or just Glocca Morra/pdaddy.

I like being able to see people who match my taste, but of course tons of people are gonna match a pool of artists from the same genre. I'd rather see people from an array of genres I listen to because chances are I will like that music still even if it's not my favorite artists and chances are I would be more interested in making friends with those people.

What are other ways you would like the neighbor feature improved or what similar complaints do you have?
