Tenant camera question - CT

I'm writing this on my phone while being angry, so please excuse any grammatical errors or formatting issues.

My landlord is selling the house my husband and I live in. We've tried to be as accommodating as possible. But at this point I feel we are being taken advantage of.

To give some background. We have lived in this house for 2.5 years. Never late on payments, and have a good relationship with our landlord. But, he lives out of state. He likes a lot because my husband is handy and any issues that have occured we have documented, fixed, and given him receipts to reduce our rent for that month. However, since he isn't local his mom (who is also his realtor) is the one that we deal with in person.

When he announced that he will be selling the house she immediately started trying to set up showings and requested that we take our dogs out and not be present. She also was trying to set up same day showings which we pushed back on. She was upset about that but our landlord confirmed with her that she needed to give us 24 hours notice.

Finally, she lives on our street as well. So to avoid things being written she's tried to run into us when we're out and about by saying, "if I schedule something this afternoon it looks like you're around. Would that be ok?" We have said no.

I haven't been comfortable leaving the house completely with random people exploring so I decided to get cameras to put inside. Just in case it's relevant I got blink mini cameras. These were placed out in the open in the living room, kitchen, and one in each bedroom. She didn't say anything about it so I assumed it was fine. I was really glad I got them because afterwards when my husband and I were looking at the footage we saw the potential buyers picking up and moving our stuff. They didn't steal anything, but they were definitely digging around too much in our things.

Today she had more showings booked. I was working so my husband took the dogs out and texted her that she was good to start the showings. As soon as she walked in she turned the cameras around which we have clips of. After the showings I texted her:

"Hey -! I hope the showings went great today. We noticed after - got home with the dogs that the cameras we have had been turned around. We added them for security and for the dogs. Items in the house were touched and moved around in the previous showings last weekend. If you could please not turn them around during showings we would really appreciate it. Thank you

She responded in text saying:

Ok well it's against law for - to have them on without disclosing and signing paperwork. If you could disconnect ( no dogs being home)during showings that would be great,

I'm trying to look up laws but what I'm finding is heavily focused on the legality of landlords putting up cameras, not tenants. Any help is appreciated!
