General Fixes

General fixes might not resolve all issues but are worth trying before diving into more specific solutions.

• Delete Crash Logs: Navigate to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Marvel\Saved\Crashes and delete all files. Crash logs can slow down your PC when they accumulate.
• Disable Control Flow Guard (CFG): Some users report success with disabling CFG, but I have never tested this. Proceed cautiously.
• Avoid Mods: Mods can cause instability at this stage. Avoid using them until the game is patched.
• Reinstall the Game: Reinstalling can sometimes resolve issues with corrupted files.
• Check FPS (Frames Per Second):
  • Below 30 FPS: Your system likely doesn’t meet the game’s requirements.
  • 30–60 FPS: Performance is decent and likely not the issue.
  • 60+ FPS: Performance should not be causing crashes or freezing.
• Compare System Requirements: To check your system configuration:
  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
  2. Type systeminfo and press Enter.
• Close Unnecessary Applications: Ensure no other programs or browser tabs are running while playing.

Step 1: Check Game Files

Step 2: Identify the Crash Type

1. Is it the game crashing or the PC crashing?
   • PC Crash: The whole PC shuts down or crashes. Likely a hardware issue or insufficient system specs.
   • Game Crash: Follow the steps below.

GPU-Specific Fixes

• AMD GPUs:
  • Use the latest or most stable drivers.
  • Play in fullscreen mode (reported to reduce crashes).
  • Monitor GPU temperature.
  • Lower graphics settings.
  • Disable unnecessary AMD features (Some users report issues with anti-lag etc...).
• NVIDIA GPUs:
  • Avoid features like DLSS (Dynamic Learning Super Sampling).
  • Play in fullscreen mode.
  • Update GPU drivers.
  • Reduce graphics settings.

Freezing or Low Performance

• Play in fullscreen mode (Fixes freezing for me).
• Use an ethernet connection for better stability.
• Install the game on an SSD (helps with stuttering).
• Monitor FPS for drops.
• Lower graphics settings.
• Close unnecessary background programs.
• Overclocking(Not recommended, proceed with caution):

Launch Issues

• Verify game file integrity.
• Check your internet connection.
• Run Steam as Administrator
• If nothing works:
  1. Open Task Manager.
  2. End the task for “Steam Client WebHelper.”
  3. Wait for Steam to reopen automatically.
  4. Sign in and relaunch the game.

When Nothing Works

• Be Patient: This could be a UE5 (Unreal Engine 5) issue, not the game itself. I doubt there will be any major fixes.
• Experiment: Everyone’s setup is different. Try it out yourself.
