How much notice can an employer require for calling in sick?
My employer just rolled out a new attendance policy and it says that calling out for any reason after 6pm the previous day (amoung other things) is punishable with a strike and 6 strikes is a write up and 7 is a unpaid suspension and eight strikes and your fired. I feel 6pm the previous day is a very unfair deadline as my shift starts at 3pm and I usually won't even be home till 3am so I would have to know i was sick a day in advance essentially. Is this legal? The whole policy is very vague but I attached a picture (my name and signature are blacked out)
