Stake reorganization, ward going away.

Background: Im in northern utah. My family is no longer practicing in the traditional way. Like everyone, we have our story.

This last sunday, we went from 9 wards in our stake to 8. This move, imo, was overdue as attendance at sacrament meeting in our ward has dropped noticeably and i see some people holding down 3-4 callings at a time. I was also told our ward had the highest attendance in the stake which, if true, should be setting alarm bells off at hq.

My kids love participating in the non-temple related youth activities and so I am anxious to see who gets called where (my new ward is now pieces of 3 previous wards).

Since our last ward boundary shift in 2019, our stake has seen probably ~100 single family and ~300 townhouse units built and sold. So, enough for a new ward if activity had remained the same, IMO.
