is i5 14600KF overkill for 1080p gaming?
I was considering between i5 14600KF, Ryzen 5 7600x and ryzen 7 5800x3d to pair with RTX 3060/RX 6600/Intel ARC A750 (Not decided which one to buy, idc about ray tracing btw)
I want to play games like marvel rivals/ Rainbow Six Siege/ CS2 / Delta Force/ Upcoming Battlefield 6 at 144+ FPS at medium-high settings (Okay with switching to low if i dont get consitent 144 FPS atleast)
All of this will be on 1080p and i am not really planning to buy a 1440p gaming monitor anytime soon, I dont care about AAA games except sometimes i would try games like Spiderman 2, Maybe new God of War when it comes in future, Doom: Dark ages. I am mostly competitive gamer and only go in AAA title if it really takes my interest.
I heard many people say i5 14600KF is overkill for 1080p and i should invest more on GPU instead? I want to keep budget overall low if possible but i am not sure which one's which.
One thing i heard alot from various multiplayer games is that "XYZ game is CPU intensive, better CPU = better FPS"
