Bedroom setup - which projectors?

I’m mostly looking to view on my ceiling (2m away) or a wall in front of my bed (3m away). I’m not super critical or highly observant of picture quality- a 1080p projector would do me fine I think. I’m basically just after something for watching sci-fi movies or shows. I’ve got some health issues that leave me in bed frequently during the day, but my room isn’t that bright with blinds closed.

For projectors, I’ve narrowed it down and found a few are designed with ceiling viewing in mind (BenQ GS31, GS50; XGIMI Halo+, MoGo Pro 3)

Then there are others like Viewsonic X2 that aren’t “portable” with batteries etc. and need a wired power source, but are compact and versatile enough to be moved around occasionally and set up in different spots. With a tripod it could be angled upwards towards the ceiling which is the main use case.

At the moment the GV31 seems like it will do, but I’m worried I’ll outgrow it and want something more refined soon. It has a price of A$749.

The GV50 is the other portable from BenQ, looks like a really good option, with laser instead of LED, and is brighter. The cost is A$1199, which is a pretty big jump from the GV31 - is it worth the extra $450?

The others I’ve considered are the XGIMI HALO+, MoGo 3 Pro which are portable, at roughly A$1395 and A$1049 respectively. I’m not sure if the brand is reputable, so any advice is appreciated.

Otherwise my other option I’m considering is the Viewsonic X2, short throw, and has nice specs. I don’t need a battery, having it plugged into the wall is no issue. I think it is compact and versatile enough that it could be moved around sometimes and mostly be used for “ceiling viewing”. It will need a tripod or stand for that upwards position - would that angle affect performance/heat/damage in the long-term? Currently there’s one for sale, A$999, (which is less than the others and maybe could get a fire Stick or tripod with that money) that I am drawn to but would appreciate some advice on.

Outside of these, there’s always a Chinese A$120 projector I can try my luck with and hope the money doesn’t evaporate within a week 😅

In any case, if you think any of these options are good/bad, or you have any recommendations, I’d really appreciate your advice and input. Thanks!
