Why do guys hold women to such high standards?
There was a video on Tik Tok about how men expect women to be flawless and how Sabrina Carpenter is now one of the biggest symbols of beauty but her look isn’t easily and often isn’t naturally attainable. A dude in the comment section said that tons of women look like her and that all the women complaining are just ugly. I (along with hundreds of other women) pointed out that Sabrina Carpenter has mostly likely had cosmetic surgery, has a professional team of people doing her makeup and hair, and is super dolled up all the time which isn’t how the average woman looks or even needs to look. He got mad and said that I’m just upset because I don’t look like her and that if you walk outside, you’ll find tons of women who look like her. I went to this dude’s profile, his profile photo is him, ultra sweaty, with greasy hair, wearing an anime costume. BE FOR REAL.
Edit: Thank you for all the supportive comments and conversations. It just made me so mad to see a man telling so many unique and gorgeous women that they aren’t good enough.
