Annoying teacher

So I was in 7th grade. My school had this schedule format where there were 5 electives, and you took 4 of them, and named the one you liked least. But I arrived a bit after the deadline, so I ended up with the one I wanted least, theater arts.

So my teacher was really annoying and not nice to the people who weren't over the moon for theater. One period, we had a prompt where we had to write a play about a controversial topic. She said, as an example, that we could do LGBTQ, then randomly asked "should we support LGBTQ". Everyone said yes. I said no. The whole room went silent. For context, I'm Muslim, so I can't support it, religiously and morally. Id never said anything and avoided the subject.

So I was told to come after school. The teacher criticized me and talked about how I should be more accepting yada yada, and all this because I answered her question honestly. Worst part is she held me for 15 minutes. My dad needed me to come because he had to host a job interview over the phone. He was also almost late for it too. And by the way, not many liked the class or the teacher. Anyway sorry for the long post but I needed to vent. Thanks
