People That Live in Northern Latitudes- Do You Have an Outside Area to Keep Frozen Food in the Winter?

I live in North Carolina, USA and the temperature outside where I live won't get more than one or two degrees above freezing for the next two or three days.

After getting home from the grocery store today, I just put a couple frozen items in a secure spot on my back patio because there wasn't enough room in my freezer. The forecast shows outside temperatures for the next week to be well within food safety limits. Even if something might not be frozen solid, it will be safe.

Do those in northern latitudes store frozen food outside in the winter?
