Do you feel invested in the story after Shadowlands ? How does TWW's story keep you invested ? I feel like after betting "death" itself, there are no stackes anymore
The WoD time-travel and alternate dimension already messed up the lore, but after Shadowland where we defeated the "gods of death", I feel like there are no stackes anymore. We know that if someone dies, they're probably drinking venthyr wine, chasing blue squirrels or simping with thick blue mommies. We had the strength to beath the one who was behind all trouble in Azeroth. Sooo if we defeated death, and know there's no real loss when dieing, it's tough to find an emo gril and her tentacle friend menacing.
Joke aside, I feel like TWW's simpler story is much better written than BFA or SL, but I just feel like we went "too epic" with SL and now it all feels soft.
